Treatments
Create and manage treatments for patients
Treatments represent scheduled medical services for patients. Each treatment tracks the full lifecycle from scheduling through verification, including eligibility checks, prior authorizations, and insurance plan linkage.
Viewing treatments
Navigate to Treatments from the main menu to see all treatments in a paginated list.
Table columns
ID
Unique identifier (e.g., TRT-123)

Icons showing eligibility, determination, and prior authorization status

Team member responsible for the treatment
Service Date
Date of the scheduled service

When the treatment was created
Filtering
Use the filter bar to narrow results by:
Physician — healthcare provider
Status — treatment status (e.g., In Progress, At Risk, Verified)
Location — service location
Assigned User — team member
Service Date — date range
Created Date — date range
Eligibility Status — Pending, Eligible, Ineligible, or Needs Review
PA Status — Pending, Submitted, Approved, Denied, Cancelled, Expired, or Peer to Peer
Sorting
Sort treatments by service date, next touch date, patient name, created date, or last updated — in ascending or descending order.
Search
Use the search bar to find treatments by patient name, provider, codes, or dates.
Creating a treatment
Click the Create Treatment button to open the creation form.
Fill in the required fields:

Date and time of service (must be today or later)
CPT Codes

Search and select one or more procedure codes

Assign a team member to this treatment
Insurance Plans

Select which of the patient's insurance plans to associate
Click Create to save the treatment.
If no insurance plan is selected, the patient's primary insurance plan is automatically linked to the treatment.
Enable the Create More toggle to keep the form open after saving, allowing you to quickly create multiple treatments in a row.
When a treatment is created, the system automatically generates workflow steps based on your configured templates.
Treatment statuses
Treatments move through the following statuses:
Not Started
Initial status when a treatment is first created
In Progress
Treatment is actively being worked on
At Risk
Treatment requires attention
Completed
Treatment has been finished
Verified
Treatment has been approved and is now read-only
Cancelled
Treatment has been cancelled and is now read-only
Once a treatment reaches Verified or Cancelled status, it can no longer be edited.
Treatment details
Click on any treatment in the list to open its detail view. The detail page includes:
Full treatment information (patient, physician, location, service date, status)
Treatment workflow timeline showing progress through each step
A right-side panel with sections for:
Patient information
Insurance plans linked to the treatment
Notes added to the treatment
Payments associated with the treatment
Documents organized by category
Linked records — eligibility checks, prior authorizations, and PA determination decisions
Editing a treatment
Open the treatment detail page.
Click Edit.
Update the desired fields (patient, physician, location, service date, CPT codes, diagnosis codes).
Click Save.
Treatments in Verified or Cancelled status cannot be edited.
Assigning a user
From the treatment detail page, click the Assigned User field to select or change the team member responsible for the treatment. You can also clear the selection to unassign.
Setting a next touch date
Use the Next Touch Date calendar picker on the treatment detail page to set a follow-up date for the treatment.
Managing insurance plans
You can link or unlink patient insurance plans from a treatment at any time:
Link — associate an additional insurance plan with the treatment
Unlink — remove an insurance plan from the treatment
Adding notes
Open the Notes section in the treatment detail panel to add notes or comments related to the treatment.
Cancelling a treatment
Open the treatment detail page.
Click the Cancel action.
Confirm the cancellation in the dialog.
Once cancelled, the treatment status is set to Cancelled and it becomes read-only.
Running workflow steps
Each treatment includes workflow steps that track progress through key stages:
Eligibility Check
Verify the patient's insurance coverage
PA Determination
Determine if prior authorization is required
Prior Authorization
Submit and track prior authorization approval
Click the Run button on a treatment to automatically execute the workflow steps. The system runs each step in sequence and updates statuses accordingly. You can also update individual workflow step statuses manually from the treatment detail page.
Linking records
From the treatment detail page, you can link and unlink related records:
Eligibility checks — link an existing eligibility check or create a new one
Prior authorizations — link an existing prior authorization or create a new one
Each linked record displays its current status and key details directly on the treatment detail page.
